Business travelers or with longer visits have to apply to Azerbaijani embassy to obtain a sticker visa. Violation of the laws regarding overstay, incorrect type of visa, or even non-adherence to registration regulations in Azerbaijan may lead to the fines and the following bans of entering the country.

To obtain an Azerbaijan e-Visa, Indian citizens are to prepare the following documents:

  • Valid Indian passport, which has a validity of at least six months beyond your intended departure date in Azerbaijan and at the same time has at least one blank page to have immigration stamps.
  • Passport-size photograph (recent, according to the specifications of Azerbaijan).
  • Filled e-Visa application form (notably correctly through the official ASAN portal or through travel service authorized by the traveler).
  • Return/onward ticket, which is confirmed, and demonstrates the intention to depart Azerbaijan prior to the 30-day restriction.
  • Evidence of staying, hotel booking or invitation of a local host.
  • Evidence of finances to spend during your stay in Azerbaijan (bank statements, credit card).
  • Travel itinerary : Azerbaijan: Places, dates, and activities.
  • Medical emergency travel insurance during your trip.

In the case of minors, a notarized birth certificate and parental permission in case of not traveling together may be needed.

  • Tourist and business travel - E-visa is applicable to tourism, business meetings, cultural trips, and personal activities. The long-term work and study involves a different application at the embassy.
  • Stay limit - It is a one-entry and 30 days duration e- Visa, no extensions are allowed on this visa. Extended stays are to be left and reapplied.
  • Registration requirement - Stays that are more than 14 days are mandatory to be registered with the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan within 15 days after arrival. A fine of maximum $250 can be imposed because of failure to register.
  • Purpose of travel should be real; you need to depart Azerbaijan on or prior to your allowed expiry date.
  • Invitation letter - Business or long-term. Not required in tourism e-Visa.
